Title

Captain Sindbad returns to the kingdom of Baristan to discover it in the grip of El Kerim, an evil warlord who has deposed the king and intends to marry Sindbad's betrothed, the beautiful Princess Jana. With the help of the Royal Magician Galgo, El Kerim has removed his own living heart and placed it in a fortress tower. So long as the heart remains safe, El Kerim is invulnerable. Determined to depose the heartless ruler, Sindbad and his loyal crew set out to storm the tower. But the trials they face along the way are many, including an invisible monster, a multiheaded dragon and a deadly jungle filled with man-eating animals. Finally, Sindbad faces the ruthless El Kerim in a duel from which only one can emerge alive.

What is that?

On their way home from a voyage, Captain Sindbad and his crew are alarmed by something they see off in the near distance. What is it??

Tidal wave!

A tidal wave is about to hit Sindbad's ship! Waves as high as houses crash down on the bridge and engulf everyone on the voyage. They are without fear. Lead by the sure hand of their captain, they will overcome all perils.

Princess Jana and the King of Baristan

In Baristan, Princess Jana has just learned that the new ruler, El Kerim, has made plans to capture and kill Sindbad.

Help me to warn Sindbad!

Jana pleads with her father's magician, Galgo, to help her find a way to warn Sindbad of El Kerim's plans. At first, Galgo refuses to help her, afraid of what the ruler would do to him because of the power he holds over him. But Jana reminds Galgo that it was her father who sent him to the far corners of the world to learn his magic.

Princess Jana and Sindbad

She finally convinces the magician to turn her into a tiny bird which will make it easy for her to fly and quickly warn Sindbad unnoticed. She promises to be right back. But once there, her plan fails.

Attack!

Attack!

Galgo was right in fearing that El Kerim would find out about the princess going to warn Sindbad. He orders Galgo to send a flock of prehistoric birds to attack Sindbad's ship and capture Jana. Galgo is severely punished.

To your stations!

Dragged in by fishermen

Sindbad orders the crew to their stations when the birds begin to bomb the ship with boulders. When it looks like all is lost, he orders to abandon ship. Sindbad is later dragged in by fishermen after being caught in a fishnet. They recognize him and tell him about the evil ruler and his plans.

Captured

Sindbad decides right then and there to help the people of Baristan. He meets up with his crew (who were also miraculously saved), and they come up with a plan to have Sindbad meet El Kerim. Sindbad dons a beggar's attire and purposely gets caught stealing in order to be thrown in jail.

Sindbad awaits his sentence in jail

Sindbad waits in jail until it is time to be brought before El Kerim and his sentence is announced.

It can't be!

El Kerim orders that Sindbad be whipped to death. As Princess Jana is witnessing the whippings, she admits that it is Sindbad. He replies that he knew it all along, he just wanted to hear it from her lips. El Kerim orders, "Kill him!" As he is about to be stabbed to death, Sindbad breaks free of his ropes and begins to duel until El Kerim stands up and proclaims, "No one shall touch him but me!" For an instant it seems Sindbad is victorious, but he soon realizes his greatest fear. When his blade penetrates the heart of the dictator, he does not die. He has become invincible.

Inside the arena

El Kerim knows that he must eliminate any hope the people may have of freedom if he wants to be a ruler without limits. It is for that reason that he must publicly humiliate Sindbad. In a huge arena, Sindbad will have to fight against an invisible beast, with a sword as his only weapon.

A chance to escape!

It seems there is no hope for Sindbad, but fate intervenes! When he feels the monster's approach, Sindbad strikes furiously around him with his sword. Blinded by one of the blows, the animal turns in anger towards the crowd. Sindbad uses the panic that follows to escape from the arena.

Sindbad must go to Galgo to learn El Kerim's secret

Galgo with El Kerim's heart

Sindbad goes directly to Galgo to get him to tell him the secret of El Kerim's invincibility. Galgo tells him that with his magic, in a tower far away in the jungle, lies the living, bleeding heart of El Kerim.

A long trek ahead

Unimagineable obstacles

Help!

It is an almost inaccessible place in the jungle, but neither Sindbad nor his men hesitate to go there anyway. If only they can kill this heart of the tyrant. Sindbad and his men must overcome obstacles unimaginable to get through the jungle and achieve their goal.

Taken prisoner

Princess Jana will have to marry El Kerim or die

Events happen quickly. El Kerim decides to execute his plans: Princess Jana must become his wife... or die. He has thrown her into the dungeon in order to force Sindbad out of hiding.

Mission accomplished!

After an interminable trip, Sindbad and and his loyal men arrive at the tower.

I choose to die!

Jana firmly refuses to become El Kerim's wife.

Jana will be trampled to death!

Jana stays faithful and strong in front of any threat. She repeatedly refuses to become the wife of the heartless tyrant. This is why she will die. Jana is about to be crushed to death by an elephant, but as El Kerim is watching it all happen, he feels that someone has gotten inside the tower to destroy his heart. Jana is taken back to the dungeon and El Kerim and Galgo head off to the ivory tower.

Galgo destroys the heart while Sindbad is dueling with El Kerim. Finally, one final thrust from Sindbad's sword and El Kerim is dead!
